Group & school visits

Educating and inspiring the next generation to have an interest in Oxfordshire's transport history is a key aim of ours. We therefore welcome visits from school groups (up to 30 people) on Wednesdays. Children pay the normal Child entrance free, teachers are admitted FREE.

We may be able to open the museum for private parties by special arrangement (outside normal opening hours). Normally on a Saturday. A minimum charge of £75 applies.

Wednesdays: throughout the year*
Thursdays: 15 February & 25 October only
Saturdays: June, July & August only
Sundays: throughout the year*
Bank Holiday Monday's: 2 April, 7 & 28 May, 27 August, 1 January

+ = Museum closed from 20 to 31 December 2018, inclusive.
Last admission on all dates is 3.30pm.

Admission prices:

Adult ged over 16 years) Concession £5
Child (aged 5 to 15 years) £3
Family (2 adults & 2 children) £13

£1 extra per adult on Bank Holiday Mondays

Getting to us by bus:

Stagecoach route 233 Woodstock - Long Hanborough - Witney - Burford.
Runs Monday to Saturday daytimes every 30 minutes. Passing Hanborough rail station entrance.
Change at Bladon roundabout to/from Stagecoach route S3 Oxford - Woodstock.

REFRESHMENTS

Getting to us by car:

Head for OX29 8LA in Long Hanborough village on the A4095 Bicester - Witney road. Look out for the brown 'Transport Museum' signs.
From further afield, leave the M40 at Junction 9, head south-bound on the A34 then follow signs for Blenheim Palace.

Our free car park has 15 spaces (including one wide space).

Additional car parking is available at the Hanborough rail station car park. Charges apply Wednesdays & Saturdays. It is FREE on Sundays & Bank Holiday Mondays.

Oxford Bus Museum has a cafe, serving hot & cold drinks, light snacks and ice-creams.
